If an idea keeps nudging at you – if you leave IT alone, but it won’t leave YOU alone – then sooner or later, it’s probably something you need to do.

Listen to Didn’t Know I’d Fall
This song was the first track written for the album, in spring of 2020. But the idea came two years earlier on a train ride, while feasting my eyes on the lush green of Switzerland’s foothills.
Staring out the window, trying to catch that little snippet of song, I could sense that it had an upbeat, driving, electro-pop feel to it.
The only problem was, my musical toolbox at that time wasn’t nearly up to the task of creating something like that!
I was a girl with a guitar. Adding the electronic elements this song wanted felt just about as impossible as writing the thing in Greek.
I had no clue where to even begin learning the music production tools I’d need to bring it into existence. Every time I’d make a start, venturing into the bottomless quicksand pit of free tutorials on YouTube, I’d get totally overwhelmed and give up.
But I kept hearing that song. And in fact, every idea that came to me from then on presented the same problem!
It was, so to speak, time to face the music. I needed to up my game.
You know the feeling. Oh shit. There’s something big and difficult I need to do if I’m going to get to go where I long to go.
And the learning process wasn’t easy. It was time-consuming, frustrating, expensive, and not infrequently discouraging…
But it was also one of the most satisfying things I’ve ever undertaken. On the other side was freedom – the freedom to create and express what I wanted!
So here’s what I want to say. Whatever it is that’s nudging at you, whatever it is that won’t leave you alone…
You CAN do this.
Trust it. It might just be way forward to something you really, really want.
